Freshstream was established as an independent firm in 2020. The partners of the firm have worked together for many years at leading institutional investment firms, including Towerbrook and Bregal Investments. Patrick Smulders and Rayhan Davis initially met at Soros Private Equity over two decades ago prior to a spin-out that resulted in the formation of Towerbrook Capital Partners. In 2011 they were joined by Adam McLain and began working closely with Reza Fardad. Lodewijk de Graauw\u2019s entrepreneurial background made him a natural fit to join the team at Bregal Investments. He took the lead on value creation and ESG. The team\u2019s long-standing history of working together has fostered a dynamic and cohesive culture that sets us and our entrepreneurs up for success.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

The Freshstream team is made up of about twenty-five colleagues; the majority of which work in London and the rest are located in Amsterdam. The company has a broad perspective on sectors, with a preference for proven sectors with strong macro-economic tailwinds. To achieve their desired level of impact, Freshstream\u2019s key focus is on majority investments in portfolio companies.<\/p>\n

Their hybrid set-up allows associates to be involved with the dealmaking and the related initial trajectory, as well as with longterm portfolio management and support after the deal.
